Earlier this week, we had the chance to spend a morning (a very early morning) with our friends at Dostie Homes, photographing their latest home off of Scott Road in Jacksonville, FL. The home itself is a unique combination of modern design and top of the line amenities, with several throwback tributes from 1970′s homes. The result is a great looking home that offers guests a welcoming, comfortable, almost familiar environment.

Capturing Creativity at the Club at Danforth

Capturing History: The Boca Raton Resort & Club

We recently had the pleasure of shooting the Boca Raton Resort and Club for one of our commercial clients. This 1000+ room resort began its life during the Florida Land Boom as the Cloister Inn, built in 1926 as the most expensive 100 room hotel in the world. Since then, the hotel has gradually, though steadily grown into one of the top resorts in Florida. With 7 swimming pools, two professional golf courses, eleven restaurants, and hundreds of feet of ocean-front property, its no wonder!

Also – neat fact: During WWII the resort played an essential role as a barracks housing soldiers for nearby Boca Raton Army Air Force Base. The troops affectionately called it “the most elegant barracks in history”.

DS Home of the Year Photos featured in Jacksonville Magazine

Dreambuilder’s unique home has deservedly received the honor of Home of the Year. The article again details the uniquely narrow footprint and welcoming design of this Doctor’s Lake home. Seeing Double – Two Very Different Dostie Homes in Palencia

Last week, I had the opportunity to photograph two properties for Dostie Homes. Lucky for me, the homes were on adjacent lots. But don’t think that makes these homes twins – while they do share many of the premium amenities and creative spaces Dostie Homes is known for, the exterior of these homes could hardly be more different. One home looks like it could have been plucked straight out of an Iowa corn field, while the other is clearly a Florida-inspired home, complete with dramatic tower and decorative eaves. Dramatic Dostie Home in Pablo Creek

We recently had the opportunity to photograph another Dostie home. This two story home, located in Jacksonville’s Pablo Creek Reserve, sports a somewhat open floor plan with lots of extras – such as outdoor kitchen, mud/pool room, and a gigantic laundry room (something our family could certainly use). The master suite has a stunning westerly view – perfect for watching the sun set over the distant marsh.

One thing unique to Deremer Studios architectural photography is that, whenever possible, we capture a selection of ultra-high resolution panoramas, such as the one below. Just another reason why you can’t find a better combination of quality, value and affordability anywhere else! Enjoy the photos!

Deuce Dreambuilder’s Custom Homes!

We’ve had a busy couple of weeks with several Architecture shoots. Last night was our latest – two new homes for our friends at Dreambuilder Custom Homes. While both of these homes have rather modest square footage for a truly custom home, the way the space is employed gives the feeling of a much larger home. With unique designs and premium touches, both these houses perfectly balance quality and affordability in a unique and inviting package. Above is one of my favorite photos of Dreambuilder 10. Going Cali-Florida Modern in Palencia

This past week, we had the opportunity to photograph another beautiful home designed by Architect Sam Clausen of Dostie Homes. This project couldn’t be more different than the colonial-inspired home we photographed for Sam a few months back. With this home, Sam’s challenge was to take the spirit of a California-modern home, as well as a detailed floor plan developed by the homeowners, and adapt it to accommodate the architectural design and styling requirements of Palencia. As you can see from the photos – he did a wonderful job. I was especially impressed with the fully-enclosed courtyard. I hope you enjoy the photos of this very contemporary home!

Shooting South of the Border with Taco Bell

Today, we had the pleasure of shooting for the Taco Bell near the beaches in Jacksonville, FL. This was a simplified version of our popular dusk and dawn shoot, where we photograph the building during the best possible lighting conditions for interior and exterior photos.
