Okay, well the above photo doesn’t look too much like smiling people standing in a group, but I promise, we did do a group photo shoot (as evidenced by the photo below). As usual, our friends at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island created some absolutely stunning culinary treats for the folks at the Health Information Associates.
The weather had been a bit spotty last week, but thankfully the clouds parted for some great outdoor photography opportunities. So, I climbed a ladder, took aim, and stumbled upon these photos. What a fun group! Enjoy the photos!
And (Isn’t there some rule about not starting a sentence with and? Oh well) here is our favorite photos from our last day of coverage up at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. Not only did I have the chance to take the TR-6 up to this event (a big personal bonus for me), I also had the opportunity to shoot this great lunch setup, shown above. The resort brought in several really unique food trucks for this lunch event on the Oceanside Lawn. Check out some of the unique meals on wheels below!
The evening wasn’t to be missed either. From the elegant table settings, to the very unique entertainment – it made for quite the evening. We started the night off with a few group photos on the palm tree lined terrace while the guests enjoyed drinks and hors d’oeuvres. At dinner, guests were entertained by this unique shadow-boxing routine (above) by a group of local dancers. From all the ohs and awes (not to mention all the camera phones) I think it was a hit. The evening concluded with a very entertaining dueling piano act from all the way out in Seattle. Enjoy the photos!
And so, I’ve somehow stumbled upon day two of our three-day shoot at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. Our day’s coverage began with a wonderful (and fancy) taco and smoothie bar experience at the adjacent Golf Club of Amelia Island. From there, the plan had been to explore the rich history of the Island’s back streets and inland waterways, but afternoon thunderstorms changed those plans! Thankfully, the team at the Ritz was ready with some great back-up activities, like the Cupcake Wars event you see above.
By early evening, the storms had moved offshore and the group was treated to a wonderful ocean-side dinner at the AAA Five Diamond restaurant, Salt. But before dinner, the guests were treated to a special tasting of over 20 exotic salts from all over the world. The night was far from over after dinner – the Ritz-Carlton has a special surprise in store for the group – a beach-side fireworks display that would rival many town’s 4th of July celebrations! Add to that an after party with amazing candies, desserts, and a 3-foot tall chocolate sculpture, and you have one full day! Enjoy the photos!
This past week, we had the pleasure of providing photography coverage for our friends at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, during a wonderful three-day event they hosted. There were so many great photo opportunities that I decided it was best to divide this shoot into three posts.
The kick off for this event was a great Florida-themed dinner and reception on the Courtyard Lawn. Not only did the resort provide their typical top-shelf food, presentation and service, but they also brought in a whole cadre of Florida animals for the guests to hold, pet and interact with. There was minimal screaming… Enjoy the photos!
